Spellbinders Explore Beyond Blog Frenzy Day 4

A very warm welcome to all Spellbinders fans on Spellbinders Explore Beyond Blog Frenzy Day 4!
Spellbinders amazes us with more beautiful  templates with every release!
Have you seen the amazing projects of the other talented designers in this amazing Blog Frenzy?
Today, Angela  and I will be sharing with you some  projects we made especially for this Blog Frenzy,  to show how amazing this latest release is.

I will be showing you Spellbinders S5-172 Curved Matting Basics B and  S5-176 Floral Ribbon Threader.

The floral Ribbon Threader template set is great for making those romantic/classical looking projects. That's why I chose the color combination black, grey, white and brown.

The many holes in the templates give you endless possibilities for ribbon threading.
By threading only one satin ribbon, you add a serene but luxurious touch to the card.

  •     Penny Black® Inc.: "T for Transparent"™ - Sweet Wishes 30-104 - Clear stamp set

 Instructions:
  • Trim a piece of Black cardstock to 6x6 inches
  • Cut/emboss/stencil a piece of striped patterned paper with Grand Calibur. Use brown ink for stenciling. Glue on card. If you used striped paper like I did for this card, make sure the template lies exactly along the stripes so will you get a clean cut. You can keep the template in position by adhering it to the patterned paper using non-permanent tape.
  • Cut/emboss template # 9 (# 1 being the smallest template) from set A2 Curved Matting Basics B out of black cardstock. Glue on card.
  • Cut/emboss/stencil the largest 2 dies of Floral Ribbon Threader out of white cardstock using brown ink for stenciling.  Use non-permanent tape for keeping the templates in the correct position during cutting-embossing. Remove the tape before stenciling. Glue on black rectangle.
  • Cut/emboss/stencil template # 5 from set A2 Curved Matting Basics B out of white cardstock and use brown ink for stenciling. Glue on card using 3D foam squares.
  • Cut/emboss/stencil small frame from set Floral Ribbon Threader out of white cardstock and stencil with brown ink. Stamp sentiment upon frame.
  •     Glue on card using 3D foam squares.
  •     Cut/emboss/stencil 3 borders with Floral Ribbon Threader set using brown ink for stenciling.

  • Cut off one oval from one of the borders and glue the borders upon one another (overlapping only one hole).

  • Cut this border to the size of the card.

  • Weave a satin ribbon through the holes and glue the ends to the back of the border. Glue on card.
  • Glue a piece of ribbon underneath the border (using glue or double sided self-adhesive tape).
  • Finish the card off with a bow (glued upon the card).

Tip:  For a nice 3D-effect always use foam squares for stacking.

Second Project
For those who like a more modern approach, I made another card with the same templates, but this time using bright colors.

This card is really very easy to make, just cut/emboss/stencil several boarders from the Floral Ribbon Threader set and glue them upon another as shown on the picture.
I used some left over pieces of blue and green ribbon to glue behind the card, but you could also use some cardstock.

Tip: The colors of the rainbow would also be perfect for a card like this!

The words in your content seem to be running off the screen
in Internet explorer. I'm not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I thought I'd post to let
you know. The style and design look great though! Hope you get the problem solved soon.
